 How we got here

In December 2022 Elizabeth and I moved from Kyle, Texas to Driggs, Idaho (down Rte 33 5 miles from the Vistas).  We've owned a condo in Driggs since 2017 and have enjoyed it more and more since we retired in 2019.  But the big decision to actually move here came last summer.  We have a pretty good winter here in the Teton Valley, and that had kept us from considering making this area our year-round home.  But we love the area so much we decided to go ahead and sell our house in Texas and move here.

We weren't initially sure we wanted to build a house or to stay in our condo.  But we started looking at lots for sale pretty soon after we recovered from the move.  The main draw for us here is the view of the Teton mountains.  We wanted a lot with a good view.  And we looked at a lot of lots.  When we first drove into The Vistas, I was pretty sure we had found the right location, and Elizabeth quickly agreed.

We couldn't see the ground below the snow, but we could see the view and it was spectacular.  I had to shovel a path to the for sale sign, but this lot was now the future location of our home in The Valley.
